Love on Drugs

loveondrugs.bandcamp.com/track/scar “After some years of intense touring with Gothenburg-based americana-act Little Green, Bandleader, guitarist/mandolinist and songwriter Thomas Pontén embarked on a solo-career under the name Love On Drugs with original songs that sounded a bit different than the more traditional country- and americana that made Little Green so respected.”

German Folkworld describe the music like this: ”This is on the rockier side of folk-rock.They definitely establish a nice groove, which gives this the edge over many other bands you hear playing in club land”. A bold yet tasteful mix of catchy indiepop and americana. LOD has been compared to World Party and Teenage fanclub but also legends like Neil Young, John Lennon and David Bowie. Artists that like Thomas & co blends influences from both sides of the pond. Love On Drugs has performed with Ted Russell Kamp (US), Pi Jacobs (US), The Mommyheads (US), Sarah Macdougall (CAN) and Gordie Tentrees (CAN). Love On Drugs debut-EP was released in march 2015, in december a christmas-single and in the spring of 2016 he released his debut album ”I think I´m alone now” and in the fall the single ”Something in my eye”. In april 2018 he released his second album ”Solder” and is currently working on a third one due for release in the fall of 201

Aske Jacoby

www.askejacoby.dk  “Guitarist/singer/songwriter Aske Jacoby is a household name in Scandinavian music.”

Starring in motion pictures in his early teens, Aske has been working as a professional musician since the age of 16. His resume counts participation on more than 400 recordings throughout three decades. He has been playing with most major Scandinavian pop/rock stars as a sideman as well as working with jazz notables such as Brad Mehldau a.o. Since 2013 has Aske Jacoby been pursuing a solo career which – among other things – took him to L.A. where he recorded two solo albums – Chant (2014, Sony Music) and Luna Plena Super Me (2016, Sony Music) with bassist Tony Scherr (Bill Frisell, Norah, Jones, Willie Nelson) and legendary drummer Jim Keltner (John Lennon, Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Neil Young, Steely Dan, Joni Mitchell, John Mayer a.m.o.) All together Aske now has a body of work counting seven solo albums including his latest Live In Paris. Aske’s music could be described as Folk/Rock with a twist or Americana from outer space: Simple yet strong and compelling melodies with profound storytelling, delivered with a warm and soothing vocal and world class guitar playing. His music conveys honesty and emotion and leaves the audience uplifted and inspired. A transcendent experience!

Our man in the Field

www.ourmaninthefieldmusic.com/sitemap  “Our Man In The Field releases his debut album ”The Company Of Strangers” early 2019 Pre release of album track ‘Thin’ featured on BBC Introducing ”Love your work” – Tom Robinson ”honestly we can’t recommend this guy enough” – Amazing Radio “Modern words to a vintage soundtrack” You could be forgiven for thinking you’ve heard Our Man The Field somewhere before.” He records live with his band just like the best of his influences; Neil Young, Van Morrison, Credence Clearwater Revival, Ryan Adams and Wilco. His own sound is undefinable but familiar and has been compared to modern day artists such as Ray LaMontagne, Damien Rice, Foy Vance and Joe Purdy.

Think of Our Man In The Field – AKA Alexander Ellis – as an independent correspondent and his songs as dispatches from his travels. He has assembled a band of the finest players and together they give a deeply personal yet wholly cathartic performance, like an off the record admission from you to yourself.

Henrik Zobop Cederblom

www.cederblom.com Album to be released april 2019 Solo debut by swedish sideman and former member of Den Fule. As a guitar player HC is known for working with a great number of swedish acts since the early nineties. He is also a well known session player and producer in Gothenburg, Sweden. ”I started off in the mid 80:s playing rock and soul-bands but in 1989, through working with a vocal ensemble called Amanda, I bumped into some musicians from the world/folk community in Gothenburg. This led to playing with Sten Källmans ¨Simbi¨, a band doing their own take on haitian music, and later forming ¨Den Fule¨ in which we developed an original style of playing swedish instrumental folk.¨ Den Fule was awarded a grammy in 1993 for their debut album Lugumleik and have made another 3 albums to date. Their last one ¨Contrebande¨was released in 2012 and features the great senegalese musicians Adama and Solo Cissokho. The second Fule-album ¨Skalv¨ released 1995 features vocalist/songwriter Henrik Wallgren with whom HC later made two albums as a duo.

”The 90:s were all about groove for me and in 2000 I recorded an album with swedish/ethiopian soul man Daniel Lemma and it went really well, major label and all. I think working with him made me want to play with great singers, and I was lucky enough to get opportunities. I worked with Patrick Rydman, Freddie Wadling, Sofia Karlsson, Sofie Livebrant among others. All this playing with great singer/songwriters, mostly acoustic guitars, mandolin and occasional fiddle, made me eventually urge deeply to my electric guitars again, and so I started writing tunes for a solo project. I always loved the way fiddlers play together in swedish and norwegian folk traditions, and I hope that this is somehow reflected in the way the music in Zobop is moving. Of course the grooves is definitely more african-oriented thanks to Tapha Ndiongues drumming, but the inspiration for the melodies is mostly scandinavian. I

Camilla Hole Trio

www.camillahole.no Camilla Hole and her trio released their first folk/jazz album “Halvemål” 2018 .

The trio thinks that traditional folk music belongs to the future, and should be used by ever new generations. The musicians play folk music, mainly from the county og Sogn og Fjordane on the west coast of Norway, but also some new compositions. Camilla, Fredrik og Knut have their background also in jazz and improvised music, and play instruments normally not associated with Norwegian folk music. They use their instruments and their musical preferences to make their interpretations of the beautiful traditional tunes, that are given to our time through musicians of many generations. The trio add their own personality to the tunes, based on their perception of the essence of the tunes. Halvemål is a strange phenomenon found in some dialects. It is a practice of omitting the Hs in some words, and instead adding them to the start of other words. The result is a unique Halvemål – or Alvemål (“Fairy language” in Norwegian) if you like. In the same way, Camilla Hole trio reshuffles elements of the traditional music, puts it into a playful and improvisatory universe, thus creating their own musical Halvemål. Camilla Hole – Sax Fredrik Luhr Dietrichson – Double bass Knut Kvifte Nesheim – drums, vibraphone
